My name is Vinh Ho and I had the great pleasure to be a Say Yes Scholar Intern this summer. I wanted to intern for Say Yes because I appreciate its efforts to improve the Syracuse City School District by providing support and services. I believe that the Say Yes to Education Program has shown that it can operate at a citywide level in Syracuse and hope that it continues to expand its legacies with other struggling urban school districts nationwide. I gained valuable experience working as an intern, such as how to work in a professional environment and understanding the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. My favorite part of the internship was working on an independent research project and participating in meetings on behalf of Say Yes Scholars. I felt like I was part of the Say Yes team and my work greatly helped the Say Yes staff. I would like to thank the Say Yes Syracuse staff for the memorable internship, and encourage other organizations and companies in Syracuse to provide internships for Say Yes Scholars as well. Not only does it give Scholars an opportunity to gain valuable experience, but it demonstrates their commitment to bettering the Central New York community. Thank you Say Yes!
