Scholar Mix & Mingle Provided Networking Opportunities

The first annual Say Yes Scholar Mix & Mingle, held Jan. 12, 2012 drew over 42 current Say Yes college students, 30 family members, and 34 Say Yes staff and Say Yes corporate/SCSD/community partner guests to the Say Yes office, 109 Otisco St.
 
During the Mix and Mingle, college students had the opportunity to meet other Say Yes college students and families as well as network with local corporate partners and community supporters.  Galaxy Communications, Clear Channel, and Say Yes Syracuse provided summer internship applications and Say Yes Site Directors spoke about SCSD/Say Yes Summer Camps and related employment positions.  |

Besides all guests enjoying each other’s company over refreshments, all interested guests also had the opportunity to be photographed and/or interviewed as Say Yes spokespeople as well as tour the La Casita Cultural Center located below the Say Yes Syracuse offices on the first floor of 109 Otisco St. La Casita Cultural Center is a Syracuse University-based project that seeks to serve as a cultural and artistic bridge linking various communities, including Latino populations across and beyond Syracuse.
